This is a tremendous vintage Navajo silver Thunderbird turquoise and spiny oyster shell necklace. This amazing necklace contains two very large hand carved hand detailed silver Thunderbird pendantst. Each bird measures a whopping 3" X 2-3/4". Eac h bird consists of sun stampings, cloud works, teepee patterns, diamond works and line segments. The bottom portion of the necklace contains five beautiful strands that consist of purple spiny oyster disc shells and graduating disc and round shaped turquoise stones. The top portion of the necklace is a beautiful single strand of round and disc shaped turquoise stones with an end traditional silver clasp. This necklace is absolutely phenomenal. Sterling silver, marked. The length of the necklace measures around 31". Sturdy 307 grams.
