This is a magnificent vintage Navajo turquoise silver concho belt. This remarkable belt is so incredible detailed and marvelous consisting of 11 outstanding large handmade oval and butterfly shaped silver conchos. Each of the oval conchos measure around 3" X 2-1/2" while each of the butterfly shaped silver conchos measure around 2-3/8" X 1-1/2". Located in the center of each concho are chunky large Blue Gem turquoise stones that on average measure around 5/8" X 3/8". The silver works surrounding the conchos are amazing containing sun bursting patterns, sun stampings, and teepee works. The buckle on this belt is just astonishing and large measuring around 3-1/2" X 3" with a larger center Blue Gem turquoise stone measuring around 7/8" X 1/2". Situated around the stone on the buckle are outstanding silver works that include marching sun bursting patterms, dotted works, teepee works and repoussed shells. I absolutely love this belt not only for the silver works and detailed stampings but also because the artist placed hand cut leather pieces to go on the back of each concho to make the belt more sturdy.
